負責此少年的法院調查保護官，將他轉介至臺北市立聯合醫院昆明防治中心接受「獨特少年：青少年評估至輔導就醫之整合性戒癮服務」，希望結合醫療資源，協助少年步上正軌。少年剛開始態度極為防備，經常不接電話，也總是找藉口不到診。但透過昆明防治中心個案管理師持續的陪伴下，才漸漸卸下心防，願意接受協助與追蹤。
昆明防治中心個案管理師並安排這位少年個別心理治療，透過穩定的回診與聯繫，日常生活也趨於穩定，工作也步上軌道。更重要的是，讓少年開始能和父親能主動溝通、打破父子間的隔閡，並藉此機會解開心結，改善與父親之間的關係。同時，也讓少年得以漸漸改善毒品成癮的問題。

臺北市立聯合醫院昆明防治中心組長賴玉芳表示，自從「獨特少年」開辦以來，昆明防治中心與地方少年法院，開始合作司法少年個案的轉介與相關服務。在過程中，看到許多少年對生活造成許多影響，也因使用毒品逐漸改變了家庭關係。為了讓少年能脫離成癮、回歸日常，透過「獨特少年服務方案」，讓有毒品成癮、需要戒治的少年，經過醫師、心理師、社工師或個案管理師的藥癮專業評估後，安排心身醫學科、精神科、成癮戒治科門診治療、深度心理治療及團體治療，希望透過穩定的就醫幫助戒癮。
同時，面對家庭問題，昆明防治中心也會在評估過後，安排家族治療或家屬支持團體，並透過個案管理師持續針對家長面對的親職問題提供相關資訊及服務。因為家庭是否能夠好好支持並陪伴藥癮少年面對問題，是少年能否持續戒癮很重要的因素。
